great walks and nature close by for exploring
i enjoyed my stay with a friendly bar atmosphere and delicious food that made for a lovely experience. The nearby ragley hall and beautiful morton hall gardens offered perfect spots for my city strolls, making it a great base for exploring the area, although the bathroom could use some updates.

Decent beer selection, quirky room layout, spacious garden area
Significant room maintenance issues!!! The shower temperature control was dysfunctional, and central heating was erratic!!! Room accessibility problems, and cleaning seems to be overlooked at times.

My kids wished there was a play area because there wasn't much for them to do. A few family-friendly activities would have been great during our visit.

Charming Stay with Delicious Dining
Our stay was enhanced by the delightful meal we had—perfectly cooked chicken with spicy Piri Piri sauce, served in a cozy setting. The friendly owner made us feel welcomed. A tip , check the dining hours if you plan to return late.

Quaint double room with character and charm, offering a cozy spot to rest after our travels. Located in a picturesque setting, the place has a rustic vibe that gives it a unique charm.
Access to our room involved navigating an odd series of stairs and uneven corridors, which was a bit of a trek. The bathroom needed attention, highlighted by a hole in the floor near the toilet and a broken seat. The shower struggled to maintain cleanliness, and we found dust in corners. WiFi coverage was practically non-existent in the far rooms, requiring a trek down the corridor for anything online. Dinner options were limited with the highlight being a pizza van night—yet missing variety kept us searching elsewhere for dinner. the inconsistent central heating made for unpredictable comfort during the night. while the stay had its charm, there were several areas that felt a bit neglected.
